What a great trip and finish to 2007.....  December was exciting for the Sol Solution team. Six kids exploring a Mayan village, a sustainable community and bringing a message to other kids though song was the best finish to 2007 we could have asked for. (-:

Beachfront For some people, a view of the water is essential, it relaxes the mind and soothes the soul, the sound of the waves during any time of day are not only calming to our overstressed bodies but also have a nurturing and healing effects. Here you will find a few excellent options for a beachfront small (or larger) hotel. Depending on the season and of course the quality, the cost ranges between $65 - $250 per night.

During the busier times of year (Holidays and Spring), it is not easy to find a beachfront property in playa that has not been pre booked almost a year in advance, however, because of the size of town, and it being so small you can walk to the beach from anywhere in no time, it is quick and easy to get around.

The Off beach hotels in many cases offer great value for your money, because they are not on the beach, they usualy have a nice swimming pool, larger comfortable rooms with extra amaneties and the cost ranges from $45 - $150 per night.

Either way you can't go wrong, there is an advantage to everything, and for many of us, when price is a serious concern, off beach hotels offer excellent accommodations for a great price.

Akumal is also a wonderful option for beach front accommodations for a great price, because it offers private suites and villas with Kitchen facilities and saparate bedrooms all in one unit along with Spectacular views and it is only 25 minutes south of Playa.
