I'm planning on a week in Riviera Maya 6/21-6/28, my first trip to Mexico w/husband and 2 teenage daughters. Looking for an all-inclusive with great pools, food and an awesome beach. I was looking at the Viva Wyndham Maya and would love to hear all about it from anyone who has been there recently. Would love to go to the Iberostar but it's out of my price range of $4,500-$5000 w/flight from Philly.

Just returned from this very resort. I would return. The rooms are clean, and workers pleasant.Water beautiful..pool nice.Food is cafeteria style, except in Restuarants. No need for fancy clothes. Nice blouse and slacks o.k. in restuarants.Shows are more like what High School kids would put on, but fun. They teach the salsa..someSpanish and try to get the teens to interact.FOOD I liked some some did not. They girls won't starve...they have FF,hamburgers, hotdogs(at snack bars)they have eggs, omelets pancakes fresh fruit, cereal. yogurt..coffee isn't bad either.Don't know how many young American men will be there, but there are plenty of Young Mexican men to flirt with.(thought that might interest the girls)Small shops outside of gates...not much else except ruins near by.
